Background

Scale Up Your Business provides education, consultancy and investment services in the UK and the US to seven figure business owners. The company is made up of a team of 15 people who all work remotely.

The business also manages a podcast for the founder who has a very high number of listeners, and they coordinate some very high profile guests to appear on the podcast.

Requirements

Resource Worldwide was recommended to Scale Up Your Business by someone who they were working with. At the time, this contact had a multi-million revenue company and the owner was initially using VAs to buy time back for himself and his wife. However, more recently he'd been expanding the use of VAs into customer service and fulfillment roles.

The Solution

Initially Scale Up Your Business spoke to Resource Worldwide to help with time saving and convenience. That included such tasks as managing diaries, coordinating some of the podcast guests, and doing some very light touch roles within marketing and social media posting. But this has now evolved, as Rob explained.

“We have now expanded this massively into higher value roles. Our paradigm was completely changed about the capabilities that we needed in business.

“We ended up scaling the team even quicker, and we have now multiplied our ability to reach and deliver services to more people with far less expense than traditional hiring practices.”

Challenges

Scale Up Your Business was initially nervous about working with offshore workers as they’d never done it before. But the support from Resource Worldwide guided them through the process.

Rob said, “The support we get from Resource Worldwide is absolutely fantastic. We get plenty of help with job descriptions, setting up performance frameworks and also giving us advice and guidance on how to manage people that are in a different country and time zone.

“We also have a fantastic account manager who's been excellent. On the odd occasion we've had a problem it's been dealt with very quickly.”
